My Sweet,

Because I could not stop for Death, I quickly ran him by.

I passed mother, and the Church, to court this handsome Guy.

He smiled at me, a grin so warm, my heart nearly did pop;

past the hate, past the law, but at the alter we both stopped.

His forever, and He mine, My life nearly complete,

Heaven has, nor never will, a gift greater than he.

His tender lips, addicting, his eyes, but a silver charm,

He holds me like I am his skin, as if he need be warm.

Forever and ever, our river will flow, Our mountain always peaked,

There is no love greater, Than of that I give my Sweet.
