My Sweet Sweet Book

My sweet sweet book knows no lies

And yet my leader holds not the innocence of a child.

My clever brother states fact before feeling

He holds his defeats and his prideful judgments without care.

My inconsistent mother drips with incompetence

 As I struggle to form the simplest of sentences.

They continue to yammer and flap their jaws

As I try to word my beliefs in a way they could understand.

My sweet sweet book is perceived as a lie by many.

Mistranslations and misunderstandings lead to harsh words and to broken relationships;

Permanent destruction of faith,

Temporarily moments of fame.

My sweet sweet book is warped and twisted to ease the minds of cruel persons.

The original meaning ripped to shreds.

The overall theme, lost in translation.

My sweet sweet book is gone.
