For My Sweetheart

The look you gave me I saw and I knew At some point that night I’d HAVE to dance with you And then when we did You never let go From the difference in height Or the stepping on toes Then when we went out The stars shined so bright It made everything else Feel that much more right From the very first kiss And every one after My heart has been filled With much love and laughter Even when you’re gone You’re always still here And in moments of doubt I remember the pier I need you to know No matter how insane I’ll never forget How we danced in the rain
