My Teacher

Through the hardship of the halls,

you have helped me through it all.

I did not know I was,

but that wasn't all.

I troubled to speak to others,

I didn't have a clue what to do.

"just put yourself out there"

you said one day, out of the blue.

School was hard for me,

you knew that,

you stayed extra to help me,

and I appreciated that

Now I'm in college,

Finding myself all over again.

When I am overwhelmed,

All I think about to calm me down is you

My teacher
