My Thoughts
Staying home alone I remember a time,
A time of emptiness holding my breath,
Friendless, sleepless, felt like I was dying,
My mind would race around taunting every corner,
Till I put a grip on it to fight it,
You see everyone believes they can feel you
But how do you know your feelings are real
And who is the real you, my god I don’t know
Growing up is tough and we all have a call but
What’s in it for me whose goanna save me?
From my thoughts when I’m the only one in my head
It’s been months and how it still hurts so much
How could they ever had done this to us
That quick jump to choke out every last thought
To fall upon the rocks and turn to dust
They were lost like the rest of us-but why?
You see everyone believes they can feel you
But how do you know your feelings are real
And who is the real you, my god I don’t know
Growing up is tough and we all have a call but
What’s in it for me whose goanna save me?
From my thoughts when I’m the only one in my head
I’ve spent time out away from all of this
Out with friends, to run and have fun again
Surrounded by those held close I’m happy
A place my heart has learned to understand
I know not everyone can feel your pain
And we can have real feelings, love today
I am real Cause I can think with my brain
Thank god for that, and I’m almost grown up
I gave my soul to everyone I love
Thoughts don’t bring me down, roll around my head
