My Time

When grandma passed away

I wished for more time

Time to hold her frail hands in my hands

If only I had more time

For the past five years

I wished for more time

Time for the dead

Time for me to follow my dreams

When it was time to board the aircraft

The one that would take me far away

I realized that the time I had

All the time that I spent was borrowed

I borrowed from you, my love

Now, I’m waking up at 1:00AM

Panicked, stricken with guilt

I wish for another chance

Another day to give you my time

Another moment to be with you
