My Time to Love Again

Will your skins imprinted feeling subside?

I see a lonely star up in the sky.

I hope to dream of love again in time.

You made the Eden in my mind seem real

But knew this moment had to come someday.

Will your skins imprinted feeling subside?

That snake that tempted you into a deal

Promising things so you’d throw us away.

I pray to dream of love again with time.

I think my heart was meant for you to steal,

In some ways I learned not to be afraid.

Will your skins imprinted feeling subside?

It’s this suffering in life I’ve realized

But still struggle to take away the pain.

I hope to dream of love again in time.

Was I nothing more to you then a prize?

I felt my breath escape with that goodbye.

Will your skins imprinted feeling subside?

I pray to dream of love again with time.
