My Time Will Come

It may not be my time to shine, It may not be my time to glow, But when the spotlight is on me, Trust me, you will surely know. Hidden in the back of the bus, Is no longer my place to stay. My wings just arrived last month, There flapping abruptly, flapping away. It may not be the week I shine, Or even the month my lights turn bright. But trust, when the light bills paid up, My lights will dim yours out of sight. Hidden in a crowd of people, Is not my place, my place to be, But when I step out in the spotlight, You’ll see, a crowd is where I need not be. My disco ball may not be bright, But trust that when I plug it in. You’ll see where I really belong, And I’ll shine oh so bright my friend (poems go here)
