My True Self

Be true to who you are

being fake you won't make it very far.

Take me for example

You want in my life, I'll give you a sample.

The true me you want to know

Trust me I'm no show

My hair when it's not straight,

I'll have you ditching on our date.

Who am I when I'm not shy?

Or without my hair dye?

Well I can get pretty tongue tied

and I have quite the blind eye.

But you've never seen me without my glasses

or what I'm like outside my classes.

I can get pretty hyper

and you won't want to be around if I see a spider.

But you haven't seen my dorky side yet

Even though I'm a natural brunette

I love knee high socks

I may not seem like it but I can talk and talk

I get embarrassed easily

Especially if you see me when I wake up sleepily

Although I can be quite conceited

In front of people I feel defeated.

I'm pale as can be

but thats not why I'm never a nominee.

Even though I love to eat

I'm pretty picky about my treat.

I hate to be a disappointment

So this I always try to prevent.

I love acting like a child

and ask anyone, they'll tell you I always smiled.

I do not like to leave my comfort zone

That's why to you, I'll always be truly unknown.
