My Truth
i wanted to leave
at only thirteen
and maybe i would have
if you didn't threaten to kill me
once i tell everyone
what you do to me
they laugh, yes,
but still they believe it
you never want to hear what's true
even when it's right in front of you
you win, i guess
you have gotten what you wanted
have you not?
i sit there and beg for you to change
but you're not going to
i will never understand why i keep going back
everything you do to me
it's as if you do it for the purpose of my pain
so when i dont want to return
why do you say God's judgement will rain
is it insulting to hear the truth
or do you simply fear admitting it?
you tell me God will judge me
but im inclined to believe He values honesty
but go ahead and deny it all you want
it will not change the fact that you are abusive and mean
or that you only care about what others say
not what you 'believe'
hypocrite, please stay just away
i am not the problem
and if i am
let me stand before the Almighty and tell Him my truth
the one you refuse to acknowledge
the one that is physical and evident in my manner
and the way i function
and on my skin
and if it turns out that i lied
then let me sin
knowing i refused to back down from the truth
and that i dont care what you think
