My Truth

what would you do if I told you my truth?

if I told you that there was a chance that I might be in love with you

from sun up to sun down

you’re on my mind

and I hate it so much

I almost want to cry

because I know what you’d do if I told you my truth

you’d treat my truth as if it’s nothing

because that’s how you do

and I wish you could’ve just broken my heart

why haven’t you?

I’ve been waiting for the longest

to hate you

to have a reason to not care anymore

to let go and get over you

but you still tell me sweet words

I front like they don’t make my heart flutter

but I’ve been lying all along

to you

to myself

and to all my peoples

but yet here I am

with the truth to tell

I think I might be in love with you

I honestly think you could care less

and that’s hard to comprehend
