My Turn To Shine

My turn to shine By : r.p stevens Woke up early this morning With the sun in my eyes Stretched and took a deep breath I have success on my mind Ate a whole hardy breakfast Brushed my teeth and I shaved Looked at myself in the mirror Said, Today is my Day.. For once , I feel a difference A new and improved mind I'm not taking no for a answer It's my turn to shine I'm covering all my pot holes I'm even planting new grass Fixing all my broken windows And gathering up all my trash I'm gonna kill em with kindness With a smile on my face Keep my eyes on the prize During my positive race Not gonna hesitate my decisions Or second guess them at all Gonna keep my chin up Shoulders back, walking tall Today is the day, I win This victory is mine Nothing will stop me ITS MY TURN TO SHINE..
