My Uncertainty

Dear Reader,

My future is unclear,

I don’t know where I stand,

We are all divided,

And I’m so scared.

I want to do so many things,

But I’m not sure when or how.

I want to make them proud,

Show them it wasn’t for nothing,

But it’s getting harder to believe in myself.

I feel so many eyes on me,

Waiting for my next move.

Will I fail?

Do they want me to fail?

I feel a lot of pressure.

I smile on the outside and I say I’m fine.

But I’m not.

There’s too much that I have yet to figure out.

When l look behind me I see a family.

A family that I can’t let down.

Because I’m their hope.
