My Uncle

My uncle is a lot like me

But prefers the sights of trees

Over computer screens and crystal-lined shoes

Berries and shrubs I’d think he’s choose

Instead of salons and tied-up hair

Smelling the scent of greenery and air

As well as rivers and rocks.

He has been said to stare at a fox

Much more than hot anime boys

As for his favorite noise,

My uncle prefers the shriek of an owl

Instead of my grumpy cat’s growl

However, He and I are much the same

We both love the silence of night

And we both like to write

Little ditties about each other

To share one day with one another
