My Undoing

Unearthing the feelings that I have long since buried

Loneliness

Creeping back into my heart like the serpent in Eden

Temptation

Begging me to bite back into you and erupt with

Knowledge

That fills my brain with sins both committed and to come

Pain

In knowing that you will, once again, be my undoing

Remorse

As I forgive you for bringing me back to this

Chaos

Of this never ending cycle of what we call love.

I unearth my serpent of evil

So that the devil may, once again, lay his head in my lap.
