My Very Own Ocean

You embody everything I love about the sea,
Your eyes shifting from blue to grey remind me of the changing
Within the water’s colors at different times of day.
At first you came across as cold and sharp,
But after staying with you longer and longer,
You make me feel warmer than I ever thought possible.
While some allow themselves to bathe in your salt,
I’m too consumed with your sweetness.
While some fear the intensity you love with,
Everytime I drift away I want you to pull me back in.
You’re a rip current I always want to be stuck in,
A tidal wave I want to drown in.
I’m in love with you, my very own ocean.
