My View
Some crave a love of lust
Others something that is more deep
Some are in it because they were told to
Others because they can’t escape
What makes a relationship healthy is not smiles
It’s not the perfect moments, compassion, touch
It’s not the “what I would do for you” or the “I love you so much”
What makes a relationship healthy is more than media portrays
There is no healthy love a movie could convey
What makes a relationship healthy isn’t easy times
It’s not when everything falls into place
It’s when nothing seems to be going right
People often look for the happy endings
Love that seems to be so sweet
But a healthy relationship is facing something no couple would think
A healthy relationship is facing trials, fighting when your mad
Getting frustrated when your loved one leaves their socks on the bed
It’s going through financial, emotional taxing pain
Its wondering if you will be with your loved one the next day
It’s something you would never want to face
Something you learn from all the same
Something all too painful to explain
But something you would fight for all over again the next day
