My visitor

The world is asleep when my visitor knocks on the door

Uninvited he enters and pounces on me

He claws open my chest and drags my heart to my stomach

He melts my brain and he floods my eyes

He strangles me and I struggle to breathe

As my vision blurs the familiar visitor giddy with victory laughs at me
