My War Zone
I am from a broken place
From poverty
From hatred.
I am from a large city,
Where everything meant something
And having nothing was common.
I am from a war zone,
Tensions filled land.
I am from a place I cannot call my home anymore,
Because nothing is left to call mine.
I am from a nonexistent country,
That is not recognized.
I am from Podgorica, Montenegro,
A place which meant something one day,
But now is nothing but a name.
