My Warrior
When mighty oceans rise to unreachable heights,
I stand prepared to put up my strongest fight.
Fear, lack of confidence, and pride may swallow me,
But I know they are hidden and no one can see.
Though my heart scorns, aches, and explodes from the pain,
A mighty warrior stands watching as I strain.
When the white flag is raised and my hands have let go,
Control is taken by God who smoothly moves to and fro.
Feeling like a failure, a disappointment, a mistake, a loser,
My warrior reminds me that He is stronger than me.
Though I cannot win the battles on my own,
The greatest of all warriors never called us to fight alone.
So when you the heftiest fight comes my way,
I choose to give it to the one who wins every day.
