My White Professor

My white professor

Why are you teaching my children A reason to hate

You talk us up and

put us down to

raise up the stakes

My white professor a question

Why can't we be great?

You teach them wrong is right

In a world that's black and white

Professor here's a test

What color do you see best ?

It doesn't matter you don't help the negro

He put his hands up

but y'all still shot my hero

what about my classmate Trayvon

With skin that held melanin

My white professor

you let his darkness hinder his light

And set him free

U expelled the black kid with skittles and a tea

The next class over is speech and debate

Tell me professor is that the class you hate ?

The only class that gives us blacks a voice

And we made a choice to say

black lives matter

We made a disruption

My white professor this all because of your corruption

But we take the blame

Which makes us hold our head in shame

So

It's hard to explain the reason

 I'm stressing

I gotta be holly and molly to make a good impression.

Oppression anxiety and even depression  is what they use to teach all my people a lesson.

But what do they teach ?

I'm asking you my white professor

Cover my black board with your white lies and when the chalk breaks

A black kid dies
