My Why

I write to search for the words that convey my thought and feelings, the words that give life to that voice inside of me that cried out to be heard.

I write to show the world that i exist,

that I get up in the morning,

that I live and breathe and feel,

that if I fall I will get up, whether it's seconds or years will depend, but i will get up none the less.

I write to carve my thoughts into my heart, so that if the day comes that I can't remember who I am or I lose myself,

my heart will always know her,

my heart will always remember her, the me from yesterday, the day before that, and the me from so long ago, and

my heart will cry out until all I can do is write, write until I remember her.
