My Wonderland of Words

Weeping and alone
Screaming and yearning for something to change
The wishes poring out of me to be normal,
My wonderland of words as streets
And my tear stains as the light
Finally in a world where I can be accepted
No one looks at me as someone different,
I am finally one of them
In my wonderland of words I can be me
No one will disown me
There is no fighting
No cursing
No hate
Just friends and family and love
Flying away into my wonderland of words in the middle of the night
To feel as if I have a place in this world, I do
In my wonderland of words I can speak my mind,
People listen and I have someone to turn to, always.
My wonderland of words has seen a new side
My feelings and dreams have over flown the streets,
In my wonderland of words
These words that have so much behind them have been shown to the real world
No longer will they only be seen in the streets and the eyes of my wonderland of words
But they linger in the minds and hearts of those who have read them
In my new wonderland of words, I am accepted
Smiling and happy
