My Words

When I wake up each morning,

I remind myself

how beautiful life can be.

I remind myself

how lucky I am,

As I look at my family's hands.

My country’s history.

I remind myself

how I love to

Sing and

laugh, quite loudly too.

Or

Talk to those

who have always listened to me.

Play

on my piano,

my eternal companion.

I remind myself how I used to

run and play

with my brother,

Mom,

Dad,

Uncle,

Aunt,

my cousins.

I really do miss this.

I remind myself

that awesome feeling when I

walk down stage,

and know I nailed the

performance.

The proud smiles

on my Mom and Dad’s faces

I should always be as

positive.

I believe this is

beautiful.
