My Words for Naught

I don't speak

It is not my way

I have to show.

My words are for naught

I promise

I will be there

With you

For you

I'll hold your hand

Cheer you on

Wipe your tears

Don't hide

I'm by your side

Sun the will rise

Then set

Then rise again

I will still be there

My words alone are for naught

I have to show

Take my hand

Hold it tight

I see your flame

It shines so bright

Someday

It will flicker

It will never go out

I will be there

I will ignite

My words are for naught

I have to show

This is my promise

My promise to you

We are more than friends

We are sisters

We are family

No matter where we are in the world

We will be together

Follow your dreams

I won't stop you

Because I love you

I will always love you
