My world

Precious and pure is who was born

Into a world that was dark and torn.

The days that was ahead of me

Was unseen by all that can be.

This day took a turn when I was laying in bed

When my mother woke me up and told me my father was dead.

I didnt know what to think

As I starred at the wall and did not blink.

The days flew by and they turned into years

My heart still broken but I could not fear.

I must move forward as he would want me to

And become the young lady and do what I had to do.

My mother moved away from me when I graduated school

I was terrified but I knew she raised me giving me great tools.

At this time in my life I realized one thing

The world can be dark but I am its spring.

I move forward with my head held high

Knowing the days and years will fly by.

I am my own person and the women I grew to be

Still noone can change me.
