My World Full of Lies
I roam these halls and my memory lives on
Maybe not in the way that I wanted it to be
Where back then I was just a useless pawn
But here no one will ever hear that plea
I like to think I am misunderstood
“Let them eat cake” was actually something i never said
And in that life I lost my girlhood
That day that I became wed
I might have had that crown
Had all the money and jewels
But deep down I was full of dread
And I waited for the day they said
“Off with her head”

Your Poem's Voice
Personal reflection through Marie Antoinette persona; blends autobiographical voice with historical abstraction.
Multiple ideas per stanza: identity, misunderstanding, loss, fear. Moderate density without overwhelming compression.
Predominantly melancholic and regretful despite reframing; dread and loss dominate emotional landscape.
Controlled pacing with building tension toward guillotine refrain; mostly introspective with occasional intensity spikes.
Approximately 16 lines; falls in mid-range territory of extended poem.
Metaphorical use of pawn, crown, and jewels; 'Let them eat cake' allusion; restrained but purposeful ornamentation.
Strong dramatic persona (Marie Antoinette) with internal lyric reflection; shifts between personal voice and historical character.
