My World Has Changed

It was just a Sunday.

I thought that they would always stay.

I was given terrible news.

I kept staring at my shoes.

My best friend is leaving.

I must keep breathing.

My second family will be gone.

A day in May at dawn.

They have always been there.

I don't think it is fair.

What am I going to do?

This is all so new.

I feel broken.

Words cannot be spoken.

I always dreamed of you.

If you ask, I will say I do.

You haven't even left,

but for knowing you, I am blessed.
