My World View
My world view is that of a young eager girl who looked out her window and was amazed. Seeing all the pastel colored flowers and trees everywhere, with people smiling and laughing. One man held out his hand aiding another. She waited eagerly to when she too could join this idyllic utopia.
One day she opened the door and took a step outside and that vibrant world began to shatter. The trees were being cut down by the millions in the name of big business and the flowers were withered from the toxic chemicals in the soil. The people were laughing and smiling at the misfortune of others. The man extending his hand was not intending to aid the other, but instead was demanding payment from the impoverished. There were people in the distance that she had once admired for their rich and intricate cultures; but now they murder one another because each harbored hatred for that same culture that fascinated her so much. The gleaming lake she that entranced her from her window, its deep blue gleaming surface; now is green and black with excrement, and oil. With every step this girl is forced to take, disappointment keeps a close pursuit. The crisp air is replaced by think fog of pollution. Dishonesty, hypocrisy, oppression, fear, these are the acidic pollutants in the air that dissolve the bond between humans and their humanity. That little girl became old before her time. Now she strives to put reason behind the madness of a world that seems to lack any reason at all.
This girl's hands are now eager to remold and reshape this dystopia.
