To my younger self

It's not always how it seems

The future and what it holds

The light how it beams

The dark how it folds

Warmth of hope

But be cautious you see

An ending rope

And an innocent plea

Life was simple

And so was a tear

But be warned of future trials

Betrayal, anxiety, fear
