Myrtle Beach

(poems go here) Vodka dripping down your lips I believe you’re in a zone you can’t escape. Holding you up. Drunk walking down the strip. Taking you by the hand while you’re steady trying to debate. Can’t you see that I’m helping you? Guarding you from mistakes you’ll regret in the morning. Late night texts, late night calls to nobody else but you. Your own self-respect will be dead. & then that’s what you’ll be mourning. Caught up in emotions, deep inside myself. Treating you like the queen you deserve to be compared to. Love is something gentle, something kind, something stealth. We were better, better as a pair; too. And As you become older in life...you will come to recognize that you are either just a convenience Or a need in other people's lives.
