Myself
I came back to life.
After all that suffering
after all that crying
after feeling deadly dead,
that was when I was able to heal.
But, certainly, only in part
Because I don’t miss you anymore.
I don’t care what you think about me,
I don’t care what you want from me
and I don’t care if you ever cared about me.
Even though it is like breathing fresh air,
there’s something suffocating that you left on me.
My own mind now works against me.
Your actions, lethal weapons you cannot scape from,
they worsened my self sabotage.
Thinking I did something wrong,
thinking that I had hurt you,
thinking that I wasn’t enough,
thinking, thinking and thinking.
All that still lives in my head,
all because of you
Even though I was drowned in Atlantis for a long time
I was able to resurface again,
but not unscathed
Now, you are just a stranger i know everything about
And even if now you are indifferent to me,
there are some damages that seem to be irreparable.
Thoughts that haunt me in the middle of the night
in the middle of the day
in the middle of the streets.
Just in the middle of my life.
I don’t care about you anymore
and I wont cry you anymore,
but something in me changed.
I could run away from you,
but i cant run away from my mind.
I can’t scape from myself

▾ This Poem's Voice
Your Poem's Voice
Deeply personal breakup/trauma narrative; autobiographical focus dominates
Multiple layered ideas: healing, paradox, self-sabotage, haunting memories compressed densely
Predominantly negative: suffering, death, suffocation, irreparable damage; minimal redemptive closure
Driving repetition and internal turbulence; emphatic declarations create kinetic force
Approximately 45-50 lines; extended meditation within mid-range territory
Metaphors (breathing fresh air, lethal weapons, Atlantis, drowning) woven throughout
Pure lyric introspection; internal monologue exploring speaker's wounded consciousness
