You say Because I Love You to justify your actions

You say Because I Love You to make it seem okay

But you don't understand the traction

Or ache and pain I can't display

You never leave out the Because

There's always an explaination for the things you do

I believe in a love that never once was

And although nothing has ever been true

I continue to believe you will change

But every time I do it's another bruise

Here and there comes another exchange

And I look in the mirror to see the abuse

I always come back because you say its my fault

Then you eat me up and chew

But it can't be assualt

Since you say Because I Love You

But I deserve better and should sit on the highest self

That myself comes first and that's my cue

Cause the healthiest relationship is with yourself

And there doesn't need to be a Because I Love You
