Myself, Together

When we’re together,

I can be myself.

Easy to talk to,

easy to laugh with,

you are simple to be with.

I know that you won’t judge what I say.

Book fanatic, lover of my God,

why can’t I be as free around everyone as I am with you, just chilling.

It doesn’t matter what we do or where we go,

It’s fun with you.

Friend,

I love your hugs, smiles, laughter.

Your thoughts, ideas, and opinions are so valuable to me.

I love you,

not in the new way of the word,

the way the world has ruined it,

making it twisted and depraved.

I love your company and your trust leads me closer to our God.

You are so important to me

and I want to keep knowing you for many years to come.
