A Mystery

How did love begin...

With who did it begin...

Why do we fall in love...

And how do you know that you are in love…

Love is a mystery...at least for me

It is something that is difficult to understand…

Why? Because how do you know that two people have actually found love

Love is sometimes misunderstood

Sometimes love is expressed through the coloring of a person’s skin

A mark that through time can fade away, but internally will always leave a mark

Love can bring pain...severe pain

“I love you though” they may say even after saying the opposite through a wonder of words

But is it really love?

Shouldn’t love be….How can you describe love is the better question

What would you say if you were asked “what is love to you?”

Love is a physical attraction, some may say

But what if it isn’t just physical for some

What if someone out there wants to have a happily ever after with the one

An ending like those in fairytales where the princess has found her prince charming

Shouldn’t love be feeling the rapid beating of a heart, sweaty palms, blush, the stutter

Shouldn’t it be feeling nervous, but the good nervous when you are around that person

Or wanting to cheer that person up whenever they are feeling down?

Or having someone there to catch you when you fall?

Loving a significant other should be true and honest

To make them feel good about themselves when there are others saying the opposite

Loving someone shouldn’t just be because of the way they look

Looks change over time,

People mature and become older

With a person's hair changing from blonde, brown, or black to white,

Physical beauty is only temporarily

If true love actually does exist as some may say, then love will still be there when two people are old and shriveled

Even when teeth have been lost, or the weight gained has began to show

The love will remain the same

Falling in love takes time

It is never something you realize overnight

But once you uncover the mystery of how to love, it is a never ending emotion, lasting till death do you part
