Myths About Flight

How bittersweet it is

Flight

They say you have to leave the nest one day and face the world

They failed to mention the fighting part

Oh how bittersweet it is

Fight or Flight

The world will chew you up and spit you out like something rotten

You either fight or fly to survive

You are judged either way

Bittersweet it is

You were told that taking Flight is an amazing feat

Yet here we are experiencing something hard to beat

Bittersweet

They failed to inform us about the pain to come

Throw us out clean and unscathed we come back with scars from every fight

Bittersweet

Fight or Flight

With Flight comes Fight we are not given a choice
