Naive
I met you again.
I'd recognize you anywhere.
Your eyes, your smile.
The color of your hair.
You're dangerous, divine.
Your perfection crosses lines.
Flawless at all times.
But, not meant to be mine.
I hide behind my smiles.
When I'm alone I cry.
My mind tells me to stop.
My heart tells me to try.
But, trying leads to heartbreak.
Crying leads to headaches.
In the end, nothing changes.
I'd make the same mistake.
No matter what form you're in,
loving you is a sin.
This can only end one way.
Yet, I can't help but begin.
Repeat, never rinse.
Like tattoos, the hurt stays.
All at the same time,
but in many different ways.
Blue is for sorrow,
red is for anger,
green for happiness.
Yellow for danger.
Yellow so bright,
some say it's almost blinding.
No wonder I wear glasses,
I keep on riding.
I see nothing ahead.
I sense nothing is wrong.
I won't know until late,
that the ground under me, is gone.
When my vision is back,
it's still kind of blurry.
I start to run home,
too late, but I hurry.
I fall for hours,
for days at a time.
When I finally land,
I'm in the back of a line.
I see a sign that says "Notches",
on a blue frame, that is a belt.
You appear from thin air.
Every girl in the room melts.
I see the treachery.
I sense fraud.
But I feel it too late,
my heart swears that you're a god.
Cunning, and beautiful.
You lead me to my demise.
You take my soul.
A new one will rise.
That's when you re-appear.
Your eyes should tell it all.
But the new soul in me,
is all too willing to fall.
