Names
I once heard a word. This word became a phrase. This phrase became a sentence. The sentences, a speech. The speech faded to a message, clear and deep. This message rang loud in my ears, a never-ending buzz. The ring echoed out to the world. The ring toppled buildings, towns, cities, nations. Streets full of dreams faded with the worn paint. A nothing so deep and dark, even silence seemed too loud. As it all grew quiet, a great pain appeared. This great pain caused the innocent to know. They knew a hurt no one should. This hurt broke their spirit, made their soul cry. From their tears grew a new word. This word washed away the corruption, the disease, the filth. The filth became beauty, which sprouted toward the sky. The beauty stretched and reached for the sun. Warmth flooded the world. After a time, this word also faded. Even as you fae away, we will never forget. We will remember the words that changed the world. The words that made a difference, we will remember you.
