Nasty (II)

EPMD, we back in business

Dozens gather round me and take position

Surrounded by those who sneak silently and solict

Unperturbed as birds pass my peripheral vision

Open my eyes to stop, look, and listen:

In a flash, it starts/jump out of the way of a hastily thrown cart

With a quick push, extra inertia makes it crash into the back of another assailant from afar

Ward off a blade and vault into the sky to avoid a car

Almost got hit with- dang, no time to explain the stick shift

A pang of pain around the temple got me temporarily stationary, got no clue who did it

I engage the group anyway, combinations in the dark alleyway, hell of a mission

My hands and feet ricochet off their targets and stick it like Jade Carey in the Olympics

Quick and risky, a couple blicks discharge as rain falls, unprotected but packed with precision

A laugh in the distance, and then a sound of something exquisite:

This ain't a game, but someone's mashing the triggers

Bullets richochet and pepper roughly half of the figures

Dude let off some more, decked out in chains and jewels that would make others look lame and indifferent

I'll thank him later, but for now I focus on surveying for any witness as I gather the riches

Robbery went as planned, and together make a grab for the cash on all the incapacitated persons

Got a lot to learn but still a successful, if not rocky, excursion
