A Nation of Equality
black or white
purple or pink
every color is
great I think
who are you
to steal a life
using degradation
like a knife
freedom, freedom
screams our nation
yet taking rights
is our new creation
it is wrong
and vile to say
a person isn’t worthy
if their skin is one way
all are equal
and all have the right
to life, liberty, property
and if needed should fight
fight for what’s theirs
what should never be taken
equality is right
and should not be mistaken
let’s be a nation of love
where everyone’s free
let’s be a nation
of equality
