Natural Disaster
I want to be a natural disaster
I will shake your foundation
Rebar or marrow
Cement pillar or frontal lobe
I will be the devastation that cleans up your act
Wave after wave
I will put you 20000 leagues under
Salt has never bothered you before
But high tides call for rust
And rust calls for erosion
I've learned from my first strikes
I was volcanic
Layers of ash muted your mind
Choked you on your words
Let me leave the magma behind
Soot had stained your streets and you made your clean up as quiet as each of my arguments
landing softly, silent
You swept me into the eye of my own storm
Lost in spring promises
Pastel wildflowers, renewal by St. Patrick's day, everything clouded by lush green
I opened the skies to let loose soft rains
Gentle so as to reopen the gates of gardens everywhere
Only having to pick your occasional weed
But your roots ran deep
And invasive
And here I find myself overrun
Looming cumulonimbus
Promising promising promising
You did this
By my skies you will be blinded
Torrential downpour
Fist sized hail, more
Cyclones , blackened skies
Earthquakes on fault lines formed by lies
Wildfires, Solar flares
100 mph winds, who cares
Your time of radar warnings has run out
I want to be unidentified
I want to be unseen
I want to be hazardous
I want to be your power-outage
Because God knows you can't see in the light of day
