Natural Disasters

You have always been

natural.

For three years, our words were

flowing, regardless of the

time between them;

you were easy to

navigate, I could look at you and

home

didn´t seem so

far.

Now, I´m

looking at you

again.

You´re sitting across from

me, staring a the

carousel to the

right;

we´re surrounded by the

bustling of Saturday night

Christmas shopping, it´s incredibly

loud, but

something about the reflection of

fairy lights in your eyes speaks of

softness, of

3-am light rain, of

empty beaches in the

morning, of

nature´s peace,

I look at you and the

butterflies when you

smirk at me don´t seem so

foreign.

I still get

nervous, I´m still a little too shy to

ask you, to

tell you, but something here just feels

right, something in the way you have control of my

laughter, in the

warmth

of your body next to

mine, in the

high of

falling for my

best friend.

So here I am,

crashing

into you, I´m hoping for the

best with this collision;

it´s no

disaster, but something about this certainly seems

natural.
