Natural Fortitude
The ocean may change
But it never leaves me.
It has smooth days
And stormy days.
The ocean can be soft
A slow mix a blues
Foamy bubbles of breath.
Its depth gives it power
Humble confidence
Where strength does not mean vice.
A judicious ruler
Protects the unknown
Takes pride in its wonders
It does not strike upon us who know not its greatness
Independent of the oblivious
But will continue to shine in all of its fullness
It does not concern itself with the opinion of others
It dances in the night
A non-profit exhibition without expectation for return
Wave after wave
Love is poured out
No matter who is there to receive it.
The ocean is all around us
It chooses peace
It brings me joy
And shows me natural beauty.
I can bask in its swells of hushing.
Steady mind
Easy breath
Fortitude rooted in benevolence.
It is meant for us
Providing entertainment
Wisdom of old age
And the care of a father.
How I wish to share with others such dignity of its Creator.
