Natural Sadness

Lonely, solitary tree

Embraced by the horizontal

Picture of a rising city.

Gently touched by clouds of smoke,

Kissed by biting knives,

Warmed by dangerous flames,

The hands grazing the outer beauty.

Nurtured by the stinging liquids,

Making the death of the tree eternal-

Forever, but not for long.

Standing in front of the fleeing towers,

Seeking company in tears

Lonely, solitary bench.
