The Nature That Inspired Change From Within
<p>Living life without a care
Don't even worry about my hair
Homesickness snakes throughout my skin
But every day is a win</p>
<p>As a person, I have grown
More than I could ever have known
I have become braver
Every day I feel less a stranger</p>
<p>I pass landscapes full of green
I've noticed people can be mean
Although it's hard, sometimes tough,
The mother loves me enough</p>
<p>In these past few weeks
I have become free from the grip that was squeezing me
I sometimes feel like a bird
How my every call can be heard
I have a young and old family
That would never abandon me</p>
<p>I feel small
But also tall
When I look at the sky
Sometimes I cry</p>
<p>I am connected
To the mother that protected
To the wind that blows
To the land that's slow
To the trees that shake
And to the molecules that make
To the land that could harm me
But chooses to charm me</p>
<p>I am at peace
When I look around
At all that surrounds
I don't even care about my looks
Just what's in nature's books
Waiting to be discovered
Longing to be uncovered</p>
<p>No more mean girls
With their poofy curls
Just me;
Alone and free</p>
<p>You might think I'm sad,
But I am forever glad
That I had succumbed
Into the person, nature sculpted me to become</p>
<p>As a person, I have grown
More than I could ever have known
And every day I face with a smile
Makes me realize I'd want to stay awhile</p>
