Nature's Embrace, Nurture's Demise

In verdant fields, a maiden strayed,
Her heart attuned to nature's sway.
But as she walked, a shadow loomed,
A man, his presence all consumed.

His touch, so gentle, yet so bold,
A nurturing hand that would soon unfold.
With loving words, he sought to tame,
The untamed spirit of nature's flame.

He built her fences, trimmed her wild,
Protected her from threats so mild.
But in his care, her essence waned,
Her spirit stifled, her true self stained.

The flowers wilted, the streams ran dry,
As nurture's grip grew evermore nigh.
The girl, once vibrant, now so frail,
Her connection with nature lost and pale.

Like a bird caged, its wings confined,
She longed to soar, to leave behind
The suffocating embrace of one
Who loved her, yet destroyed the sun.

For nurture, in its misguided eyes,
Had killed the nature it sought to prize.
And thus, the maiden's fate was sealed,
A victim of a love that nature felled.
