Nature's Sonnet
The food cooking upon an open flame,
The chirping of the birds within the trees.
Living our preoccupied lives in ease.
It is a perfect world, oh what a claim!
For changes in nature, we are to blame.
Waning of creatures from land and the seas
The Earth infected by robust disease
In ignorance, we set our home aflame.
It’s time to change before we seal our fate.
To all the skeptics who always deny
The evidence, just cease your steady prate.
Be informed of our impact, don’t standby.
Unite with action, not with more debate.
We have only one Earth and no retry.
