Nature's Spring Song

Fly little birdie, fly and sing,

Tell all your neighbors, “It’s time for spring!”

The trees are budding, flowers are blooming,

Fly little birdie, fly and sing,

Hop little bunny, hop and prance,

It’s time to do your springtime dance,

The grass is green, the air is sweet,

Hop little bunny, hop and prance,

Cock papa rooster, cock and crow,

Cock-a-doodle-doo! There’s no more snow!

Your chicks are hatching, their mamas are clucking,

Cock papa rooster, cock and crow,

Skip little fawn, skip with cheer,

Winter is gone and spring is here!

Buck and run, play under the sun,

Skip little fawn, skip with cheer,

Soar little butterfly, soar in the sky,

Spring is back and it’s time to fly,

Your flowery meals, Earth now yields,

Soar little butterfly, soar in the sky,

Squeak little chipmunk, squeak with glee,

Leaves are growing back on your tree,

Here return your treats, all your favorite nuts and seeds,

Squeak little chipmunk, squeak with glee.
