Necessity of Hope

A thunderous silence breaks through the sky

Again and again, by and by

Muted screams but up a fight

Endless whispers in the night

The darkness of the cold night hovers

I'm afraid, I'm alone and I must take cover

But wait, I see something-- a small dancing light

It's inching nearer and nearer into my line of sight

As the light approaches I can feel the warmth is brings

It's radiating through me, a familiar song it sings

I stretch out my palm and grasp it in my hand

It is hope that I have hold of

And it is telling me to take a stand
