The Necklace
Going through my stuff today when I pick something up
A necklace
A necklace YOU gave to me
A necklace that YOU gave to me before summer started
A necklace that I wore EVERYDAY to remind me of you
A necklace that reminded me that I have [sighs]... had you
And I wonder
I wonder if you still have my necklace
I wonder if you still think of me everyday
I wonder if you remember US
.....
I clench my jaw tighter and tighter because I am reminded of all the promises you made ONLY TO BE BROKEN AS IF THEY MENT NOTHING
FILLING MY HEAD UP WITH FALSE INFORMATION
FALSE INFORMATION ABOUT ... US
US
A WORD THAT WAS ONCE SO SWEET
NOW TASTES LIKE POISON
ALL BECAUSE OF .... me
.....
My mature mind caused this
My mature mind wanted to be the one
Not knowing that my mature mind was dealing with an immature individual
But now
Now I know
Now I know the truth about you and how you hide who u are behind a beautiful mask
Now I know that behind that mask
Your ugly
But I think I'm over thinking things
All because of a stupid necklace
